    AWESOME!!! Thank you guys… For whatever reason my listening was horrible that day… I couldn’t get the “JU” part… when I looked it up in the dictionary. Now, thanks to WLC, I can tell everyone how FRUSTRATING my study of Chinese is!!! HA HA HA…

    Hi, Cliff, thank you for the question.

    Here is the detailed meaning of jǔsàng

    沮丧 [jǔsàng]
    1. depressed
    2. dispirit ; dishearten
    3. frustrate

    As to frustrate, there’re other terms for it:

    挫败 [cuòbài]
    frustrate ; defeat

    泄气 [xièqì]
    1. feel discouraged
    2. disappointing ; frustrating
    3. frustrated

    I had never heard the “FRUSTRATED” word… and I couldn’t find the word in the dictionary. Great idea to give out a bunch of seemingly interesting words… Can you give me the characters for Frustrated? is that a TAIWAN way of speaking? something like Ju seng? or… whatever…
