Thanks for adding you notes here Fredrik. Haikyo got her answer in the learning platform. Nice to have you here.
Haikyo,
There are two different character sets in use when people write Chinese.
SC = Simplified Characters
TC = Traditional Chracters
In Taiwan, as far as I know, traditional characters are used. On the mainland China simplified characters are mostly used.
Study hard!

I have made up my mind that I want to learn Chinese before the Beijing Olympics start. I found out your site just now while searching the web. Can you tell me why do you have two rows of Chinese in your flash cards, one says SC and the other one says TC. What does it mean? It’s really complicated for a beginner like me. Thank U.
The second 看 in “看看 kànkan” is a neutral tone. I am sure. However, I can’t find any correct answer to your question either. Can anyone help me with this question too? Thanks.
看一看 “kànyikan” or “kànyikàn” ?
I have a question about “看看 kànkan” and “看一看”. The “一 yi” in “看一看” is a neutral tone. How about the second “看” here? Is it a neutral or fourth tone?
There are words like this one, such as “試一試”, “聞一聞”
“嚐一嚐”. Please help me with this question. Thanks.
