Australian Prime Mister speaking Mandarin Chinese
Here is another case in point where someone who isn’t a Native Mandarin Chinese
speaker speaking Mandarin Chinese, staying within "Pronunciation Guidelines" and being understood. Here Prime Minister Rudd is doing his interview in Mandarin Chinese even when the reporter tried to continue exchanges in English, Mr Rudd insisted on using Mandarin Chinese. Mr. Rudd may not sound like a native but he is clearly well understood.

Is it possible to get a transcript (preferably in traditional Chinese) of Kevin Rudd’s interview with CCTV?
jthomas @ 2:29 am:
You can get a transcript from CCTV for sure. This interview is not that hard to transcript so I would think that a transcipt is around.

I’ve finally found the Kevin Rudd interview transcript on your website. I’ve been trying to read along to the video, but found it quite difficult, as the transcript seems to be quite heavily edited (with fillers and repetitions taken out and English sentences translated into Chinese).
Thank you anyway. It did help me to understand more of what Kevin Rudd said.
James @ 7:36 am:
Glad you found it. Sorry that we coudn’t help you more.
